Durham County Council detecting and resolving congestion with one.network

As part of its Altogether Better Durham strategy, Durham County Council (DCC) is aiming to create an ‘altogether safer and greener’ county for its residents by 2030, including a more serviceable and sustainable highway network. 

Having been regular users of the one.network platform since 2019, DCC turned to one.network for a review of its congestion management strategy, with a goal to reduce carbon emissions and minimise impact on the travelling public. 

Now, with one.network’s Network Monitor module, DCC can:

• Diagnose and react quicker to problems on the road network, minimising carbon emissions.
• Keep traffic flowing, reducing impact on journey times for the travelling public.
• Identify and rectify S74 overstays and incorrect traffic management more effectively.
