WEBINAR RECAP: A Vision for Wales - strategies and solutions for successful street works and asset management
In our recent "Vision for Wales" webinar, Simon Topp, our Highways Unit Leader, spearheaded a vital conversation on the future of street works and asset management for Welsh local authorities, following one.network's integration into the Causeway Technologies portfolio.
Adam Graham, our Product Director, offered a comprehensive look at Causeway's highways solutions — Alloy, Mayrise, Horizons and one.network — and outlined the promising future these products hold in Wales.
Jonathan Williams, Street Works Manager at Bridgend County Borough Council, shared his experience using Causeway one.network to communicate road and street works information to the public. He underscored how adopting a holistic platform enhanced citizen engagement through an accessible, interactive digital interface, significantly reducing public enquiries.
We also welcomed insights from Dawn Pinney and Mark Lloyd, Technical Support Officer and Street Lighting Engineer at Torfaen County Borough Council, respectively. They detailed their transition from Causeway Mayrise to Causeway Alloy, highlighting the benefits of improved coordination and streamlined operations.
Key insights from the webinar include:
- one.network is now part of the Causeway family of solutions, offering a more cohesive, integrated service for road and asset management.
- Mayrise will gradually be phased out and functionalities will be transitioned to Causeway Alloy.
- Local authorities in Wales such as Torfaen County Borough Council, have already made the seamless transition from Mayrise to Alloy, resulting in more efficient workflows.
- Causeway one.network has proved transformative for authorities such as Bridgend County Borough Council and Flintshire County Council, facilitating meticulous planning, coordination and communication of street works.
- Moving forward, there are future plans to enhance Causeway Alloy with integrations into systems like My Council Services and EToN, optimising communication and permit processes.
