Overview
In this release, we’re introducing new Premium Datasets for our Works Planning customers, an exciting update for Route Manager users, and a small improvement to our Traffic Management module. Read on to discover all the details.
New Works Planning Premium Datasets
Our smart risk assessment tool, Works Planning, is receiving three new Premium Datasets.
1. Tree Data will show you where the presence of trees could potentially impact your projects. It includes all trees and bushes above 3m in height across the whole of the UK and will display tree heights, areas and perimeters.
2. Commercial Ownership will enable users to quickly identify whether a specific location is public or privately owned, with granular detail that makes it faster and easier to access the key information required to create and process traffic orders. Users will be able to access details like: Unique Property Ref. Number (UPRN), proprietors, registered companies, tenure, building age and energy rating.
3. Bus Routes will allow you to see bus routes on the map, making it easier to coordinate road and street works without impacting transport services.
On the date of release, these datasets will be made immediately available to all Works Planning Premium customers alongside your existing Premium Datasets. These include:
- NSG Details
- NSG Street lights
- Sites of Specific Special Interest
- Flood Risk
- Car Park Meters
- Speed Limits
- Hospitals
- Fire Stations
- Schools
If your organisation does not currently subscribe to Works Planning Premium but you’re interested in accessing these datasets, please get in touch.
Similarly, if you have a request for a specific dataset that we don’t yet supply, let us know. Bus Routes was a user requested dataset which we’re excited to now make available to all Premium Dataset customers!
Route Manager gets smarter
Route Manager – our transport route management solution – automatically detects clashes between bus routes and disruptive activity on the network, whether that be street works, a road closure, a diversion route or something else.
Previously, these clashes would be presented separately. For example, where a road had been closed to conduct street works, two clashes would be displayed: one for the closure and one for the street works.
Now, Route Manager is getting smarter! Associated disruptions will be linked and presented as a single clash, saving you time and reducing manual effort spent analysing different clashes.
Traffic Management
For Traffic Management customers who have our Street Manager Start/Stop integration enabled, you’ll now be able to select a ‘Current Traffic Management Type’ when you log a Street Manager Works Start.
If your organisation is an existing Essentials* or Pro** customer, we can enable our Street Manager Works Start/Stop integration for you free of charge. This will enable you to easily start and stop works directly from the one.network platform, syncing automatically with Street Manager.

*Essentials customers are highway authorities who subscribe to the one.network Map, as well as our Traffic Management and Historical Map modules.
**Pro or Professional customers are utility or contractor organisations who subscribe to the one.network map, as well as our Historical Map module.
